Starting November 4th, I will have a hiatus. This month is going to be hectic because it's almost halfway into the semester. My goal is to have my Grad Trasitions and write-up (the blurb that goes with the Grad photos in the yearbook) finished. I'm also going to do research on various universities and scholarships so I can start sending applications in weeks to come. At the same time, I will have to make my current two Bs (French and Math) into an A.
The computer and the Internet is very distracting and I've said before that I'll have a hiatus but I end up coming back after a short time. This time with stress piling on top one over the other (school AND life), now is a good time to get everything on the right track.
I don't know when I'll be back but the earlier I accomplish most of my tasks, the earlier I'll be active again. I will miss all my f-lists and I wish everyone the best.
Hearts and cookies,
Claire
P.S: For those who have me on MSN, I'll still go online. During the weekdays when I'm set to "busy", I will most likely actually be busy. =P I have more time during weekends so that will be the perfect time when you can message me.

1. Today at French (tenth class in the week) I realized that there was no school tomorrow. A girl in front of me was commenting on how she was happy that tomorrow was a day off. I was surprised because I thought this week was like any other five day week. I was not expecting tomorrow to be a "free" day at all so you can't imagine how happy I was when I found out.
2. I got my math quiz back from Tuesday. A PERFECT SCORE even though it's only out of 12!!! :D After I competely bombed my previous math quiz and got lower than expected on my last test, I was so relieved to find out that this perfect mark will recover my overall percentage. Now if only I could keep this up for the next couple of quizzes and tests.
3. This was confirmed weeks ago but did you know I'm going to Japan this winter? I'm leaving on the 15th to visit my grandparents by myself. It's going to be a scary plane ride because a) the last time I rode on a plane was four years ago, b) I'm going alone, c) I'm underage and d) I get airsick. I can handle D if I take Dramamine (?) before I go but A, B & C... I have no idea what to do.
Yesterday during dinner, my mom gave me all these weird and numerous instructions. Like she told me that I should go through the green gate instead of the red one because I'm a Canadian. Whut? (O_O) I think it's much easier if I had a stewardess as my guidance like the other times I went alone (with my brother). I know I will be seventeen when I depart but I don't know where to go at the terminal even from my mom's notes she will give me. :'( And will my uncle be successful picking me up? *woe*
4. The Ga Lei Bow (curry beef buns) I made for Foods was a success!
5. My friend confirmed that my hopeful imagination was reality after all. Not sure if I want to expand more in a Public entry.
6. I have a feeling in the back of my mind that I'm unaccomplished. The feeling will most likely go a way when I tackle everything from:
( My To-Do List. )

I had my Math test yesterday and I got a B-. I'm a bit disappointed since I was expecting a high B ~ low A. I studied the best I could and I knew how to do all the questions so I can't do anything about my mark. Anyway here's a meme taken from

I am currently obsessed with the U.S. Presidential Campaign. I don't know why. I'm not American nor do I live in the US. I can't even vote for my own country yet. (Canada is having an election this month but I don't have much interest in it.) Somehow I find great interest in this campaign and it's weird because like 90% of the population, I don't usually care about politics. Recently MSNBC has become my most watched channel, I watched a portion of the Vice-Presidential debate on Thursday and I've also been lurking around US political Livejournal communities. This obsession about politics is freaking me out!! (O_O)
If you're wondering, I'm a foreign supporter of the Democrats and I'm hoping they will take office come November 4th. Go Obama-Biden!
I'm busy as always so this is a short entry. I hope everyone is well. :)

This week was like any other week but there was a lot of stuff to do. On Monday there was a Yearbook Committee meeting, a French quiz on Wednesday, a Math quiz and a JWAC meeting on Thursday. Yesterday I also had my first volunteering experience as a JWAC member at a senior centre. Other members and I helped serve dinner while the seniors chatted amongst themselves. It was tiring but meaningful because we were able to make the senior's night a fun one. After school today was a Gingerbread Club meeting. Next week we'll start baking and it's still only September!
Even on days where I can "relax" I still have to work on Graduation Transitions. It's a four credit assignment (?) from the provincial government where students have to meet specific requirements in order to well, graduate. This isn't due until June but a lot of grads are finished and I feel the need to rush. I want to get this over with! From the Ministry of Education website we have to do:
Personal Health - maintain a personal health plan and participate in at least 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous physical activity. I completed Personal Health last year. Thank God, I hardly do any moderate or vigorous exercise.
Community Connections - participate in at least 30 hours of work experience and/or community service and describe what was learned. Unless I find a job I haven't started but I'm hoping JWAC counts.
Career and Life - complete a transition plan and present significant accomplishments. There are three components. Write about two possible future careers, your life after high school and a financial plan.
If I say anything else it will be about school again because it's taking over my liferight now forever. :'( I'm sorry I haven't been active as much and if this isn't interesting at all.

Right now I'm currently rewriting my math notes while I go on Livejournal at the same time. I'll eventually put school first when the workload gets more difficult. I also changed PE 12 to Foods Studies on Tuesday. The new course has more work than French but I don't mind! :)

I didn't expect this entry to take so long (like always). I swear by next week, I will prioritize school over everything. *goes back to math*

I should update more because I have a feeing this entry will turn into a tl;dr post.
( At first there was no LJ-cut to this longass entry because I was feeling lazy. But then I felt bad soon after. )
I'm really proud of Canada in this Olympic because we're picking up the pace having 17 medals so far. We had no medals at all until the eighth day. Ever since then we have been gaining at least one medal per day. I watch any sport that's on TV but my personal favourites are gymnastics, swimming and track & field. There are also a few sports that I never knew was an Olympic sport, until they aired such as racewalking and BMX. Any sport can become an Olympic sport which may be good to increase popularity but also bad because the host country will have to pay for more venues. This year's Olympics are fun (mostly because of Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, and the US gymnastics team) but I'm already looking forward to Vancouver 2010!
To my f-lists, I'm sorry for the long entry eating up your Friends Page. I could use a cut but I don't know where to put it.

After watching the movie, I would love for him to win. He was amazing and I don't think no other actor could pull off a Joker or any other villain as haunting as he did. I didn't see Heath at all in The Dark Knight. All I saw was the Joker. Heath's performance creeped me out in the trailers and that's saying a lot.
I love the time he took to devote himself to this comic book character and there should be some sort of recognition for one of his last roles. It would be amazing if he earns a posthumous Oscar but there is still four months of 2008 left and it's too early to tell.

First of all I feel much better after the last entry. Thank you for reading it if you did. Looking back on this journal, I notice that I haven't really opened up about my feelings before. Even though the comments were disabled, I'm glad I was able to express my emotions out loud.
I often speak too soon because last Friday, I finally watched The Dark Knight. It was an awesome movie and let's say I found a new fandom. XD Heath Ledger was amazing (see my Writer's Block) and the movie was well worth the wait. I'm definitely going to buy TDK on DVD as well as WALL-E.
( Here's a crazy meme I stole from russiantwinz. The questions were funny but I'm afraid the answers aren't as funny. )
Everyone seems to be watching the Olympics. Personally I'm disappointed in Canada and Japan. Canada I understand because we're dominant in winter sports anyway. But Japan? They were a power house in Athens. What happened?

Everyone's been hyped about the finale of Avatar but it seems like I'm the only person who hasn't watched it yet! After weeks of the dubbed Naruto marathon plus the 1989 Batman movie, YTV finally aired Avatar last Saturday. It turned out to be "The Boiling Rock" instead. It was a new episode for me but I was pretty bummed out that I couldn't join the festivities that's been going around. =(
I hope no one spoils me with anything until YTV does air it. Until then, I have to wait. From the sounds of it, the finale seemed to be really good.
I'm also eager to watch The Dark Knight and Mamma Mia sometime this summer. I know a few people who might be able to watch MM with me but for the dark, frightening TDK, I can't think of anyone. Actually I know one person but that will take a miracle. Which is too bad because it's currently #1 at IMDB. I'm surprised that a movie of this decade beat out The Godfather.
I'm also happy that WALL-E is #1 in the Animation category but since there are retards who are voting 1 for no good reason, I'm a bit worried it will drop. (Then again the rating system in IMDB isn't that reliable.) I've seen trolls on various forums bash this wonderful movie but I have yet to hear one serious, intellectual criticism. All the negativity have made me want to write an essay like review/praise about WALL-E. I might write this when the DVD comes out because my memory is a bit fuzzy. Here I go procrastinating.
Before I go I also took a screencap of those two links, just to preserve the joy.
